Personal and spiritual development through the body-centered practices of mindfulness meditation and Somatic Experiencing®

Irritation. Anxiety. Lethargy. Pain. A feeling of being scattered; a mind that won’t stop thinking. Chronic health conditions. Stress that’s so intense you want to withdraw from daily life. All of them signs that your nervous system is overwhelmed, and in need of rebalancing.

Imagine if you could instead replace these negative sensations with balance, contentment, ease, equanimity and joy? And be in touch with them at all times? You can do it. It is possible.

Our bodies are wise. Vitality and balance emerge when we connect with the inner wisdom of our mind-body-spirit. When we learn how to attend to our body sensations, we allow our nervous systems space to process the energy of old, unresolved traumas. We resolve mental and physical discomfort. We free ourselves from distress. And we increase our capacity for enjoying life.

Somatic Experiencing and embodied Buddhist mindfulness meditation are the tools that will bring you back into contact with the wisdom of your mind-body-spirit. From the inside out, you can learn to transform your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. If you seek to:

  • ease body pain
  • calm symptoms of anxiety
  • transform anger
  • open yourself to greater vitality, and
  • accept, appreciate and celebrate your unique presence in the world

then you’re in the right place. June Fukushima, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and embodied mindfulness meditation teacher, is ready to lead you on your journey of healing and awakening.

Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing, referred to as SE™, is a short-term naturalistic approach to the resolution and healing of trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It is based upon the observation that wild prey animals, though threatened routinely, are rarely traumatized.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness, a concept introduced by the Buddha 2500 years ago, is intended to be a practice to fully comprehend what brings about and sustains happiness and what creates or sustains distress. Mindfulness implies action. If one is “mindful” one is applying intention, memory, values, feelings, discernment, and energy for a wholesome purpose.
