Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing, referred to as SE™, is a short-term naturalistic approach to the resolution and healing of trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It is based upon the observation that wild prey animals, though threatened routinely, are rarely traumatized.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness, a concept introduced by the Buddha 2500 years ago, is intended to be a practice to fully comprehend what brings about and sustains happiness and what creates or sustains distress. Mindfulness implies action. If one is “mindful” one is applying intention, memory, values, feelings, discernment, and energy for a wholesome purpose.
